Since I don’t want to become a horse collector, I have started thinking again about possibly selling Fulnaho’s Mia’s girl Stellar Magica de Spell. She was actually booked right at birth, but for various reasons that deal didn’t work out and since then we’ve thought we’d keep her ourselves.

The problem is that I already have 8 foals I said I will retain from 2022, Magica included, and it will be a bit too many if I consider that next year we are also expecting 14 foals where I definitely know already now that I definitely want to keep at least 5 of these.
The fact is that I kind of kept my distance from Magica after we decided to sell her right after she was born, so the thought automatically comes to me that it is she who will be for sale. If we find a home that really wants to produce her, I might therefore be open again to the idea of selling her.
Magica has a very good pedigree with both grand dam and grand dad as Royal Welsh winners (where her great grand dam has had 4 foals who became Royal Welsh Winners) and a dam that has KEUR&STER predicate from Holland with the lines of Eyarth Caliph and Eyarth Zsa-Zsa and the Cottrell stud behind which also produced many Royal Welsh winners.
What a buyer should bear in mind is that she was born quite late and therefore needs to mature a bit, but then it will be very interesting to see what she can achieve. She looks like a little Arabian and is black with a bit of roan. I really like Mia’s previous foals in Holland (she has among other things a son, Fulnaho’s Morgan by Ysselvliedt’s Songwriter, who is an approved stallion – see the pictures, the siblings are very similar) and she is a great mother!
We will write in the contract that she must be shown with the help of a professional handler, and it is also visible in the price how promising we consider this combination to be and the breeding ground she can provide for a stud.
But before the breeding box, I want to see this filly at the Young Pony Championship in show jumping first (or similar)! Because she is going to have that capacity!
