One of the greatest joys of breeding is watching the next chapters unfold long after a pony has left your fields.
Over the past few weeks, we have been celebrating wonderful results from three exceptional Stellar-bred mares.
At the Three Counties Show, one of the United Kingdom’s most prestigious events, Stellar Sheer Lustre and her owner Samantha Gowan enjoyed a fantastic day, earning the title of Overall Palomino Champion as well as a placing in a strong Welsh Section B class. We were especially delighted to hear the many compliments regarding her temperament, manners and quality.
Meanwhile, in the Netherlands, Stellar Summer Solstice and Stellar Magic Sundae achieved outstanding results at the Anniversary Show of Breeding Association De Kanaalstreek under the care of Hendrik de Jongh and Zoelenzicht Stud.
Stellar Summer Solstice won her two-year-old filly class, while Stellar Magic Sundae claimed first place in the mares with foal class before going on to become Adult Section A Champion and ultimately Best Section A Pony of the Day.
These achievements are a wonderful reminder that breeding is never only about ribbons and championships. It is about producing ponies with quality, character, presence and trainability that continue to thrive in the hands of dedicated owners and breeders.
We are incredibly grateful to Samantha Gowan, Hendrik de Jongh and everyone involved in presenting these mares so beautifully. Their success is a testament not only to the ponies themselves, but also to the care, dedication and partnership that help them reach their full potential.
As Stellar Stud enters a new chapter, moments like these make us immensely proud of the legacy our ponies continue to build across Europe.
